ABOUT RYAN WRIGHT

My name, as you have probably guessed, is Ryan Wright and I'm a photographer, skier, adventurer, Christian, craft-beer drinker, hiker, dreamer, brother, son, and friend.

I grew up in Monte Vista, Colorado and lived there until the end of the high school. Growing up in a small, rural farming community taught me a lot about relationships and the value of your word. I studied business in college and between skiing too much and having a lot of fun, I often had a camera in hand. I enjoyed taking pictures whenever I could and a few years later I purchased my first digital SLR. A few other photographers were kind enough to lend a few pieces of advice, and with experimentation I learned how to turn the camera on!

Photography has taught me about such a wide variety of skills and knowledge that I never expected. I have learned about business, stewardship, geography, route finding, backcountry travel, and so much more over the last decade of doing photography. In 2009, I launched my online photography store and revamped it in 2011 after moving to Boulder, Colorado. I currently live in Boulder, I moved here to help with a church plant called The Well. I also work as the director of marking for a backyard/patio furniture company, and in my free time I can be found enjoying Boulder's craft beer scene, dominating a game of Settlers of Catan, cheering for my beloved Colorado Rockies, and spending time with my family.

I'm always up for a beer, hike, or just to chat about photography. If you are in the area, you can contact me here
