I grew up in Monte Vista, a small farming town tucked in the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado. Growing up there shaped how I see the world — slowly, deliberately, with an appreciation for the relationships and integrity that hold small communities together. I left at the end of high school carrying those values with me, even as my world got considerably bigger.
I studied business in college, skied too much, had a lot of fun, and almost always had a camera in my hand. Photography started as a habit before it became a calling. After a few generous photographers shared some hard-won advice — and after a lot of trial and error — I figured out how to make images that actually said something.
What I didn't expect was how much photography would teach me beyond the camera. Over the past decade-plus, it's pulled me into subjects I never anticipated: backcountry travel, route-finding, geography, business, stewardship of wild places. Every expedition has been an education. I launched my online print store in 2009 and have been refining it ever since.
I'm based in Parker, Colorado, where I live with my wife. When I'm not chasing light in the mountains, you'll find me on the golf course, cheering on Colorado sports, or spending time with the people who matter most.
Always up for
A round of golf, a hike, or a good conversation about photography. If you're in the area or just want to connect, reach out — I'd love to hear from you.
