This one of those stories that I'll retell whenever I get a chance because of how crazy, unexpected, and kind it is. It didn't end quite the way that I was hoping it would, but it's a damn good story. This is why traveling to a foreign country with five strangers is a good idea, the relationships formed on that trip could be some of the best you'll have. There was no way that Skogafoss would be able to live up to the hype that I had created in my mind after seeing all of the beautiful photos across social media for the past 11 years! It's like watching a really good trailer to a movie for 11 years, then you finally start watching the movie and you realize that you're watching Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. The letdown takes over, you question everything, you begin to doubt your purchase of that $30 burger you had at the cafe there at Skogafoss. We've all been there. Hraunfossar is one of the "lesser known" waterfalls in Iceland and by saying that, it's still pretty darn well known. While not up there with the big three in the Golden Circle or Kirkjufellsfoss, Hraunfossar is a unique experience because there are over 900(0) meters of small waterfalls that all flow into the Hvita River.
