Dream Lake, an unbelievably beautiful lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, is one of those short hikes that attracts lots and lots of people. What makes my visits to Dream Lake interesting is that I have barely seen anyone at the lake, usually because I’m there long before people want to get out of bed. Sunrises and sunsets at Dream Lake are amazing sights to see, coupled with hardly any crowds and that’s a winner for me. One other thing about Dream Lake is how incredibly windy it is there, most times I’ve visited the lake there have been 40+mph winds, especially early in the morning. For me, getting to view Dream Lake and Hallet Peak reflecting in crisp clear reflections was…a dream.
