One of my favorite non-landscape photos that I’ve ever taken, it was unexpected and unplanned but it is times like these that having a camera ready is rewarding. Driving back to Gunnison, there was a monster of a thunderstorm up ahead and the near-constant lightning was thrilling to watch. I pulled over and readied my camera, only for a car to speed by as I clicked the shutter for a 20 second exposure. As it turned out, it’s one of my favorite lightning photos that I have shot and is a unique photo that looks amazing printed large.
