Grand Teton Sunrise

from $100.00

Having any area of Grand Teton National Park to yourself on a summer morning is something rare, there are flocks of photographers at every iconic view. Except if you have to hike. Due to the government shutdown, the access road to Schwabacher Landing was closed meaning that to get to that view, you'd have to hike from the road which was only a little over a mile. Thinned out the crowds though, and a stunning sunrise greeted us there. It took me four years to edit this photo in a manner that I'm pleased with, I kept wrestling with how the sky looked or if the scene was too saturated. Finally, I'm happy with this edit.

If you have a big wall in your house or office that could use a giant splash of color, this is your print. I would recommend getting a metal or Lumachrome HD print.
