One of my favorite photos that I took in 2020 was during a fall trip to the Crested Butte / Ouray area with a close friend. Conditions were not ideal with smoke from wildfires in Colorado and California but that forced us to get creative and focus on more intimate scenes such as this. There was a photo that I took over 10 years ago that was similar to this, a while back a potential client wanted to buy it and I wouldn't sell it to them because the resolution was too low to be a quality print. While it isn't the exact scene, it's close and is actually a 5-photo panorama to have all of the available resolution to make big prints.

That's the great reward for doing photography, or any artistic pursuit, creativity usually comes from necessity. Perfect conditions sometimes stunt creative pursuits.
