While I would recommend hiking to Dream Lake in the winter, I wouldn’t recommend doing so late in the afternoon and telling no one where you were going. But against my own advice, I ventured out into the elements because the lake ice at Dream Lake is simply stunning. Walking on this surface was very surreal and unnerving, considering I have fallen through that ice on a prior visit. Thankfully there were no such incidents and I captured one of my favorite winter-time photos.
