Heading from Colorado to Grand Teton National Park in the summer is a beautiful drive but a spot at Lake Marie, WY is necessary to drink in the beauty of the Snowy Range. This roadside lake is closed from the fall until Memorial Day and even in July, you’ll find snow and ice near or on the lake. The crystal clear water of the lake was the perfect reflecting pool for Medicine Bow Peak towering above, catching the first rays of light on a new day. It’s one of my favorite alpine lakes and makes for a beautiful print.
