The early bird gets the worm they say and this morning was an early one, we left Boulder at 3am to arrive at the trailhead before 4am, all so we could complete the hike before sunrise. A wise decision it was. Although the sky is lacking "drama", the light hitting the mountains above the lake is majestic. I had moved to Boulder during the previous week and I was worried about continuing photography because I would have limited access to mountains. Boy was I wrong!
