This was one of those mornings where getting out of bed at the motel sounded like punishment. But as soon as I watched the sun coming up over the Uintahs in southern Utah, serene peace overtook me as I clicked away on my camera. The glow from the rising sun lit up Mesa Arch and I have seen over a hundred of the zoomed in photo that is the “traditional” Mesa Arch shot, so I wanted to try something that I hadn’t seen much before. Whether I accomplished that is irrelevant, because this photo takes me back to the serenity that I felt that morning.
