One of my favorite photos and one of my best-sellers when it comes to licensing. This was an absolutely epic morning in Rocky Mountain National Park where the light could not have been better. One of my closest friends and I sought out that morning and knew that it was getting cold and it had been raining in Boulder, so we traveled up to the mountains to see if there was any fresh snow. Upon arriving at the trailhead however, we were dismayed to see clear skies. We soldiered onward and to our surprise, some clouds started rolling in over the frozen park. Each and every tree was coated in a layer of rime ice as we climbed toward Dream Lake and stopped to take in this epic view of Longs Peak, which towers over the Front Range. Mornings like this are a sweet reminder of why I do this.
