I'm Trying Out Bark, a Lead Generation Service

I responded to a spammy email with signed up for a lead generation service so I could pull back the curtain on that industry. While I'm committing zero dollars to this endeavor, I want to post this service review of Bark as my initial experience with their service and get more information as time goes then update this post. A number of years ago I saw a really good article on The Denver Egotist about creative professionals who were writing letters to themselves when they first got started. It inspired me to write a letter to myself at the beginning of my photography journey, when I got my first film camera. I didn't know that getting a film camera was going to change my life, I just wanted to take better pictures. It's good to reflect on humble beginnnings, remember where you've been, and be thankful for where you are now.

I often get asked "what is your favorite photo?" when talking about a particular location or trip, it's always a difficult question to answer because there might be some crappy photo that reminds me more of the experience than some pristine landscape photo. Trip Report: Rio Grande River Headwaters and San Juan Mountains

While I believe it to be a universal fact, time spent at a cabin in the middle of nowhere is just as good as therapy without the high prices. Chase Shipley and I got some time at my family's cabin in the summer of 2017 and I can say that it's good for the soul. We spent time playing Yahtzee, throwing horse shoes, and chasing light. We visited American Basin for the first time and didn't have to deal with the nightmare that is "Sunday traffic back from the mountains".

This one of those stories that I'll retell whenever I get a chance because of how crazy, unexpected, and kind it is. It didn't end quite the way that I was hoping it would, but it's a damn good story. This is why traveling to a foreign country with five strangers is a good idea, the relationships formed on that trip could be some of the best you'll have. Living in Boulder, CO along the Front Range usually means that the light is going to be best at sunrise. Landscape photography also means that I'm probably going to have to go be alone somewhere. Canon 100mm EF f/2.8L IS Macro Lens Review

I'm not the most technical guy when it comes to writing lens reviews, while I care about the amount of chromatic aberration a particular lens displays I have never once heard someone say that chromatic aberration was a purchasing decision. It's never happened. Instead, it's usually price. There are two spectrums with price too; low price bargains and high priced exclusivity. This lens is neither of those and that's where we all win.
